Our Purpose
The focus and mission of this Church is to be led by the Holy Spirit in evangelizing to the unsaved by proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ, the educating and discipling of believers in a manner consistent with the Holy Scriptures, the maintaining of missionary activities in the United States and any foreign country and creating a community of faith and fellowship
Our Statement of Faith
We believe that the Holy Scriptures (Holy Bible) are the inspired, inerrant word of God penned by man under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are complete and therefore are the foundation of our belief system and for our instruction and learning within the Christian life. The authorized King James Version is the preferred version of this church.
We believe that the human race, male and female, was created by and in the image of God. Humans were created to worship God by having a personal relationship and daily fellowship with their creator.
We believe that because of the act of disobedience and sin in the Garden of Eden, human beings broke relationship with God and therefore are out of fellowship with God. As a result of this original sin, all humans are born with a sin nature.
We believe that God promised to send a savior into the world to be born of a virgin that would restore the relationship and fellowship that sin destroyed. We believe that Jesus is the Christ and is the fulfillment of that very promise. We believe that Jesus is both fully God and fully man, lived a sinless life and was the perfect sacrificial Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world.
We believe that mankind is restored back into relationship and fellowship with God the Father when we repent of our sins and are born again by the Holy Spirit. We believe the death, burial, and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ is the sole provision for forgiveness of sin and salvation. Salvation is the free gift of God’s grace to those who believe and accept it.
We believe that a transformed life is evidence of Biblical salvation. As a result of salvation, fruit and good works manifest themselves in the life of the believer.
We believe in a believer’s baptism by immersion (unless physically unable) after repentance and salvation has come to the sinner.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the head of the Church and the Church is made up of those who have placed their faith and trust in His Lordship.
We believe that followers of Jesus should read and study the Holy Scriptures daily in order to grow in their relationship and have communion with their Savior.
We believe that followers of Christ should be committed to a healthy prayer life in order to strengthen their relationship and fellowship with their Savior.
We believe in a believer’s communion (the Lord’s Supper). We believe the elements of the Lord’s Supper are the bread which represent the body of Christ and the juice representing the shed blood.
We believe the word “marriage” refers only to the legal union between one man and one woman as husband and wife. We believe that the word “spouse” only refers to a person of the opposite sex who is husband or wife. We believe that God disapproves of and forbids any attempt to alter one’s physical gender from birth or gender appearance by medical procedure, medical therapy, or attire. We believe that any form of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, transsexualism, beastiality, incest, fornication, adultery, and pornography are sinful perversions of God’s gift of sexual intimacy. We believe that no intimate sexual activity shall be engaged in outside of a marriage between one man and one woman. Marriages outside of these parameters will not be performed by church staff or members, nor will they take place on any church property.
